Product Description Open Season is a riotous romp in the great outdoors, where rowdy forest animals turns the tables on unsuspecting hunters. When a domesticated grizzly named Boog leaves the creature comforts of home with a mule deer named Elliot, he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season. Forced to "rough it" in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing.

so-so, wish it was longer. August 10, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Super cute. Even though I am an adult, I love kids games.
BUT the game is so short. It took just a few short hours to complete.
All Game -- No Violence March 27, 2007 What I love most about this game is that it doesn't have violence even though it's got a hunting theme. The animals are lovable characters, and it's good to get a game that both small boys and girls can enjoy -- and of course everyone older too!
There should be more family oriented X-Box 360 games like this one.
It's a kid's game.......And I am 21! February 17, 2007 I am having a blast with this game! If you have a little child at home, I'm sure he or she will find this game as cool and funny as I do. If you're looking for a game that lasts two months, then I guess this isn't the game for you. Like I said it's a kid's game. For Amazon's price, this game is a steal!
Suprisingly good... February 16, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
First off, I'm 27 years old. No, I don't have any kids. As strange as that may seem considering we're talking about Open Season, it's true! I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. I rented it because I was looking to pick up some achievement points and figured it'd be an easy 1000. As another poster mentioned however, it was a lot more challenging to complete the game than I anticipated. Yes, it can be completed by an adult in 3 or 4 hours, but it took me closer to 8 to get the full 1000 points. I'm sure you could double or triple that for someone younger...not to mention the fact that the replay value would be much higher as well. I thought the graphics were sharp and the voice work was pretty spot on considering they didn't use the real actors from the movie. I actually found myself chuckling out loud on quite a few occasions as well.
The only flaw that I could see was the fact that the game made you follow a set path. You could deviate off the path a little bit, but couldn't go out and explore on your own. That being said, we're not talking about Oblivion here. In the end, it's only a minor gripe.
Overall, I really enjoyed Open Season. It was refreshing to pick up a game and just have fun with it without worrying about too many different factors. I'm a huge fan of games like Gears of War and Ghost Recon, but Open Season actually made me wish that there were more games like this around.
Its a childs game January 16, 2007 I was happy to finally get a game for the Xbox 360 for my 6 year old son. Yes, one can speed through the game in 3-4 hours, but to get all the achievements it forces one to keep playing and re-doing the scenes. We have been going at it for the last several weeks, and still have not gotten all the achievemnts. They are not hard for an adult, but my son finds it challenging, and I frequently have to help him. Plus we get to play together on the multiplayer part of the game. We have not seen the movie yet, but plan on doing so, and I agree that the gameplay is smooth, the graphics are great, and perfect for small children, and their parents playing with them. In surround sound, the game sounds awsome. For an adult its mindless fun, but the game is targeted for children and with the attempt at getting 1000/1000 for achievemnts, it actually is a little challenging.
