Product Description Intec's Xbox 360 Cooling Station is a great way to display your new 360, while keeping it secure from overheating. It has 2 ultra quiet motors to keep the 360 cool at all times. The vertical layout saves space and providesbetter ventilation. Conveniently stores up to four memory sticks. Stand glows bright green to match your Xbox 360. Broke after two weeks May 9, 2008 I bought this stand because I had planned on playing the Dead Rising "infinity mode" where you cant save or turn your xbox off and play for atleast 17hours straight and thought it might help keep the console cool. I cant really say if it cooled the console or not since I hadnt had heat problems before and didnt when useing it either. When it worked it was fine, there is a slight bit of noise but less than the console makes so it wasnt a problem. However after about two weeks of pretty lite use, the fan seems to of come lose and wobbles around like mad inside, the noise is horrible so it has become unusable.
regular May 8, 2008 No da nada de aire, son unos ventiladores de 12V que muy apenas dan una brisa. PRO: El diseno y tamano CON: No da aire (para eso se supone que es)
A simple concept and well made May 8, 2008 The concept is simple and it appears to do what it is supposed: keep the 360 running cooler. The surrounding lights look great, though the power switch is too small and located poorly on the back of the unit. A large toggle on the front would have been better.
Cool lights, underpowered fan. May 2, 2008 Overall this stand looks very cool. It has green lights that shine through the base in nearly all directions that give the stand a neat look. It provides extra storage for memory units and it is a very stable platform that elevates and even outlines my 360. On the other hand the two embedded fans seem underpowered, they do however increase power was the unit warms up. It know it has saved my 360 from crashing several times, because my room gets hot, 80 degrees plus. Without the fan it freezes regularly, with it, i can play for 2 to 3 hours + with no problem, although it has frozen once or twice when i have been using it. It is noisy, but it is less noisy than the 360 fans. Overall a goodlooking product with a slightly underpowered fan.
Not bad, but noisy April 20, 2008 This fan stand looks sleek, and it does what it is intended to do... but before long gets much too loud.
I don't have any way to scientifically measure the temperature of my console, but I can say that just by placing my hand in the back I can feel a noticeable difference in airflow with the console resting on this fan stand. It also feels cooler to the touch after extended play. This fan stand has it's own AC adapter, so it is not stealing power from the console and will not void the warranty.
The downside is that it is very cheaply manufactured, and after only a couple weeks the fans started to rattle very loudly. If you give it a good smack they seem to fall back into place, but once it is turned off and back on again the same problem occurs. Very loud and very annoying.
If you want to leave it running 24/7 it will stay quiet... but who wants to do that? It serves it's purpose well, but if you can't hear the TV over it, what's the point?
