Product Description Keep your Xbox 360 running at optimal conditions. The Intercooler EX for Xbox 360 is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360. The Intercooler 360 provides increased airflow away from the 360, which allows the console to perform in a cooler, better ventilated environment ideal for cramped entrainment centers. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing Xbox 360 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. The unit also powers on and off automatically with 360 and the intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment centers with your 360 displayed in either horizontal or vertical format.

Loud May 15, 2008 I bought the 360 Elite and Intercooler EX together. It generates a lot of fan noise. I also get fan vibration occasionally. I don't know if it's the intercooler or 360. I will have to test and find out if it continues to be a problem. This model is te Intercooler EX.
Powercord does not connect May 14, 2008 My Intercooler arrived today but after a few excited moments I quickly realized that the problem wasn't my lack of upper arm strength but rather the Intercooler having a plug interface that is not compatible with the power cord on the xbox 360. The Intercooler has a small bit of plastic in the center that will not allow the power cord to be inserted. Unwilling to break it off and risk having a bad unit I'm returning it as is. Admittedly I'm nervous about some of the reviews here sighting broken machines though its hard to believe some of them when there are problems with early xbox 360's that could have been the issue. I'm just not willing to find out with my machine until I hear differently from reputable independent sources (consumer reports anyone?).
DO NOT BUY!!! May 12, 2008 I don't care that this is the new improved model, it's still bad. Oh it worked fine, until today when it nearly FRIED our 360!! These things are worthless garbage, and even worse, will damage your console, and maybe even void your warranty if MS finds out you have one installed. Dh got suckered into buying one, against my better judgement (women's intuition is never wrong), and let alone suffering for 5 months from the unbearably loud NOISE this thing makes, nearly killed our console. The XBox 360 will stay adequately cool if it's ventilated properly.
Useless product April 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nyco produced this unit in black so that it would match the new Xbox 360 Elite consoles. Not only is such a cooling fan unneeded with the new Elite consoles, but the Elite power plug is not compatible with this Nyco Intercooler. I have a hunch that Microsoft redesigned the plug with the specific intent of prohibiting installation of this product between the power supply and the game console. Such an installation can cause other problems, as has been explained in the numerous other negative reviews. In short, there was absolutely no reason to produce a black version of this product, and certainly no reason for you to waste your money on one.
A little loud but very functional April 15, 2008 Once attatched to my system, I noticed the noise of the fans. Not a vibration or a hum per se, just fan noise. I also noticed the HEAT this baby was pulling out of the back of my 360, AMAZING. I almost felt bad for not not pulling out that heat before. It makes me wonder how much life I've "cooked" out of my 360 without it!
