Soldier of Fortune Payback is the long-awaited third installment of the Soldier of Fortune video game series. The saga continues with the organization know as The Shop where players take on the role of a hired mercenary. Players will experience all the thrills and dangers of authentic mercenary combat blasting their way through high intensity combat situations in the world's most dangerous hotspots in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Using any means necessary, players will need to uncover a complex plot and defeat an extremist organization determined to throw the world into global conflict. Failure is not an option. Compelling new storyline- When a routine escort mission goes horribly wrong, players find themselves battling an insidious enemy that knows no boundaries.  Great FPS, with realistic bloody gore scene January 19, 2008
I rented this game at Hollywood Video and I love it, i'm buying one for my Game collection. In my opinion the game is awesome. I play normal and it can get tough when your shooting the enemies cause if your not aware of your surroundings they will just hit you in the back of your head out of surprise. This game is similar to Call of Duty 2 and 3 but not as high quality graphics as COD4 I would say people who loved the game Condemned will accept this game. Fun game to play! Funny story line, lots of bad words, and traitors. The waterfall stage is awesome!!!!!!! great water flow."

Outrageous price for a mediorce game.Old style play,old style graphics.rubbish storyline.It relys on its gory graphics to sell it,and apart fom the spraying blood even these are dated and not great. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!,you will get this game for nothing in a couple of weeks once everyone knows about it.I finished it on normal in one night and i did not die once.When you look at outstanding games like bioshock you have to ask if microsoft care about their reputation or their customers when they have the nerve to put such rubbish as this on the market for the same price.I sold it the next day before anyone heard about it and got a decent price for it,future buyers will not be so lucky.Buyers beware!!!.Soldier Of Fortune: Payback

Subpar graphics, dumb robotic AI. The level design is rather poor and the achievements aren't worth the time.

This game is outstanding for Death match. Not such a great game on story mode. The only drawback in head to head is not enough maps.

DO NOT buy this game right now. wait until it drops down to like $20-30 and then get it. like other reviewers said there are alot of other great fps games out already
