Fun for ALL April 15, 2008 This product is awesome. I purchased this product for my 10 year old daughter. Her older sisters who are 17 play this game for hours if I let them. Her younger sister who is six also loves this game. I am 45 and think it also lots of fun and can really see why the kids love it. You can play it with the additional Guitars or without. We have both and depending on your style is your game....
ROCK BAND Guitar will NOT WORK!!! Consider yourself warned!!!! March 20, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Just wanted to throw in an important fact. Don't buy the GAME ONLY unless you already own a GH guitar. I went and bought both GH 2&3 thinking I could use my Rock band Guitar. Your RB guitar will not work with any GH games!!! Now I have to spend more money for a guitar, when I tried to save money. Great Game BTW!
Very fun game March 8, 2008 This is an excellent party game and overall has pretty good variety. If you purchase all of the songs in the store you end up with probably like 75 songs to play. Youll have even more if you download off of live. This is a very good party game and playing solo is really fun. If you have a 360 you should buy this.
Great Game February 25, 2008 This game is awesome to play. If you like G.H. 2 then you will like this. Most of the songs are great but there are a few songs I would change. The only reason I gave it four stars is because some of the songs aren't very good. It is worth purchasing and we play it all the time.
Enjoyable installment with the best track list yet February 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Guitar Hero III doesn't do much different than the last installment did, but what it does offer is by far the best track list to be seen in a Guitar Hero game yet. Featuring spectacular songs like the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" and Metallica's "One"; Guitar Hero III also features selections from Santana, ZZ Top, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Dead Kennedys, The Killers, Social Distortion, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Dragon Force, and the Sex Pistols among others; helping make this installment of the game be all the more memorable. What hurts Guitar Hero III though is that the third time around, the game doesn't feel fresh anymore, and Activision and Harmonix haven't really done enough to make it all that different from Guitar Hero II. There's higher difficulty this time around for experienced players, but getting there is a different story that casual gamers won't come close to getting towards. Not to mention that the battle modes and boss battles aren't all that interesting or fun either. There is more great XBox Live support though, but it should also be noted that there is a heavy amount of in-game advertising as well, which as you all know by now, is more annoying than anything else. Negatives aside, Guitar Hero III is still a very fun installment of the popular rhythm series, and this installment has the best track list yet. Let's just hope that next time around Harmonix and Activision do enough to spice up the formula.
