So many replacements and none work March 18, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought 2 Xbox machines for my nephews for Christmas (A Halo-edition and a Pro). They've been sitting on their shelf since Christmas now. One machine has been exchanged 3 times and still locks up after 5 minutes of play time. The other one has been exchanged twice - it doesn't work either. It takes about a month to get your hands on a replacement - which doesn't actually work any ways.
Microsoft admitted that they are having serious problems with their Xbox. So... shouldn't they recall them until it's fixed. Apparently not. They'll let you sit there with machines that don't work for a month and then give you your monthly replacment that doesn't work either. Then your kids get to sit there for ANOTHER month with a machine that STILL doesn't work for more than 5 minues.
For the most part I like Microsoft, but come on. 3 months of two Xbox 360's not working and I'm still waiting for a replacement for either one! This is ridiculous guys.
happy birthday! March 13, 2008 i purchased the xbox 360, an extra custom controller, and the halo games for my son's birthday. let me tell you i am now the world's best dad. my son absolutely loves this console. it was also easy for me to set-up and get it going. this is a big hit at our house. the graphics on the games are out of this world. the only way they could be better is with an hdtv, and that is definitely in the works. the console itself actually looks pretty good too with the custom halo paint job. good job microsoft and thanks again amazon.
Are you lucky? March 8, 2008 To the reviewer that wrote they fixed the heat issue. I think not, just read the negative reviews do you feel lucky ? roll the dice you may get a good one. xbox 360 is the best it rules when it works.....
i love the x 360 March 8, 2008 the x 360 halo edition is a great game system the graphics are crazy good and i don't even have an hdtv(but im looking at buying one) the games are awsome also i've only come across one i didnt like so far. just a personal suggestion i would get some kind of game pass like from block buster or net flix to try different games that fit your type of gameing before investing a lot of money into games
only found one problem February 21, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have gotten the halo version when it first came out. So far I like the system I hate that not all orginal x-box games work on it. I have noticed that the wireless controller is not working wireless I have to keep it pluged in. I would have thought it would last at least a year. So pretty upset about that. I do not play a lot of x-box and take really good care of it so it should have lasted longer. other then that the games look great on tv but there are very few 2 co-op games out there and it seems most games are sports, and war fighting type. not something I like to play.
