Guitar Hero III fun but raunchy January 24, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son loves to play Guitar Hero III and I'm glad he has a fun game but Guitar Hero III is raunchier than the other Guitar Hero games. I'd rather he focus on the music than the scantily clad girls. If this is a trend for Guitar Hero, I will not be buying Guitar Hero IV if there is one. The makers of Guitar Hero should remember parents usually are the ones who buy the game and should consider creating a game which is not offensive.
Love it, but where are the 70 legendary songs? January 9, 2008 I love this game, but after two weeks I am sick of the songs. I count only 27 songs, while the product description says "More than 70 of the most legendary rock anthems of all-time". Will I be able to buy more games to expand the song list? I have reached the medium level, but I will go crazy if I play the same songs enough times to reach the hard or expert level.
What he wanted! January 7, 2008 Purchased for 16 year old son, it is what he asked for and he said its awesome.
Product details not clear December 28, 2007 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this for my grandson. Based upon the picture on the box and the product detail provided for this item, I thought some type of guitar was included with it. Because it was sent directly to my grandson who lives over 600 miles from me, I did not realize that the guitar was a separate purchase until I spoke with him after Christmas. I think that it should be made much clearer that this item is a video game only; and no instruments are included. Surely you must realize that many purchases are by older adults long removed from the age of persons interested in these games, who have never heard about them until a grandchild, niece or some other young person mentions it as the item they'd like for their birthday or Christmas. With limited knowledge of these items, we depend on the descriptions to assist us in our purchases.
My game... December 24, 2007 First of all, I really enjoyed playing GH2, and this third installment didn't disappoint me either. The graphics are much better, song list is solid, and you get to play against renowned guitarists like Tom Morello and Slash. I found it interesting that the singer in the background actually lip-synches in accord with the song. My only complain is the new Guitar Battle, it focuses on making your opponent fail rather than passing it. I could beat both Tom Morello and Slash on career mode in 10 seconds using those special abilities. Otherwise, this is a great party-game, and personally I recommend getting xbox 360 version due to the extensive downloadable contents
